The Victorian Cast Iron Range

The Victorians really knew something about stabling horses. The boxes were roomy and made from the finest materials. They looked stylish and everything about them shouted quality. Hancox Equestrian has revived this Victorian past, investing in original patterns and incorporating the best. Cast in high-grade tensile iron, the range is the best money can buy.

Every last detail has been carefully considered. The finials, an integral part of the stable, are cast in bronze then polished to a high shine. The FSC-registered West African hardwood we use is extremely dense and durable. The grille is constructed from a solid round bar and has spacings at 2” intervals for safety. Through careful design the Victorian Cast Iron range is assembled free of any welded parts, creating a truly authentic look.

These unique stables go through a two-stage, hand-painted process. All components first undergo a two-pack primer process that seals against rust. The final coat is then applied by hand using a non-toxic, lead-free, high gloss paint, available in a choice of colours.
